Caricatures for Your Event 20-11-2017
I was so pleased to be asked to work on Sunday for Birmingham Children's Hospital who have very kindly included me in so many of their events over the years.
Sunday was a combined conference and party for children, with loads of entertainers on hand, one of whom was a caricaturist who produced this drawing for me.
Caricature artists are a very popular addition for your party, wedding,or corporate event, and this guy can found on www.TheArtyOne.co.uk

Okay, so poetry isn't my strong point(!) but with the shops full of Christmas goodies already it might be worth considering if you need a party entertainer for your Christmas event, be it family party, school show, shopping centre, youth group, or community social event, 'Pat the Clown and his Magic Circus' may be just what you are looking for to jolly your event along. From Balloon Modelling, Magic Shows for all ages, or whole party entertainment, please give me a call for a fair quote for your Christmas event.
PS. And I'm still available for Birthday Parties too. Just call 0121 445 4861 for your party quotation.

Here are a few ideas to help find the entertainer for you when shopping on line
Make sure you have an address for the business, and a landline number, not just a mobile number.
Do not give credit card details away if you are not sure.
Always speak to the entertainer rather than just fill out a form.
If using an agency, remember they may charge VAT plus their own fee on top of the fee for the entertainer, so they can be expensive.
For a fuss free booking, avoid form filling, deposits etc. Not all entertainers require this.
Beware 'extras' being offered, a flat fee for your party is much better.

Pat the Clown in Droitwich! 07-10-2017
Lovely morning spent at Antolin, Droitwich to help with their Annual Colouring Competition! Had a go myself, but I don't think I'll win! Loads of food, balloons and fun, with a visit from Minion which the children loved. Many thanks to Sara and her team for a smashing event.
Planning a Children's Party (3) 26-09-2017
Of course you don't have to have an entertainer at your child's party, and some parents prefer to do the whole party themselves, and still live to tell the tale!
However, 20 to 30 five year olds can be a bit of a handful, particularly if you are also going to feed them, chat to the parents, resolve all the tears and tantrums, and entertain them for two hours without wanting to find a small, quiet room you can hide in, so a bit of extra help can be useful.
So you need to find an entertainer that is:-
Reliable - turn up in plenty of time to prepare
Child friendly - non smokers essential
Good, clear communicator - with you, and the children
Experienced - membership of professional bodies like Equity very helpful
Affordable - and do shop around for this
Professional - in every aspect of working for you

Face Painting 26-09-2017
I am often asked if I do face painting at my parties but I have to say I don't for a couple of reasons:-
1) I would be rubbish at it!
2) I think the children would feel more comfortable with a lady face painter
3) What to do with all the other children whilst doing it
(Ooops, that's three!)
I am told a good place to look for a 'local to you' face painter is Mumsnet and certainly I have worked with face painters booked through them, so that's what I suggest to people when asked.
